Home problem-solvers — 11
Kitchen, cleaning, storage and smart home. The core of the site and where Google should understand us first. Affordable, easy to explain, strong for comparisons.
Not a general lifestyle blog — a buying-guide business built around products people already search for when something at home isn't working: leftovers that leak, drawers that jam, pet hair, spot stains, dead air. Low friction, broad appeal, and built for purchase-intent searches like “best air fryers under $150,” not “what is an air fryer?”
Kitchen, cleaning, storage and smart home. The core of the site and where Google should understand us first. Affordable, easy to explain, strong for comparisons.
Packing cubes and outdoor everyday gear. Natural extensions of the home audience — same households, different trip.
A useful mix of affordable impulse buys and higher-ticket anchors — each one anchors a launch guide below and gives the site its first internal links.
Written for people already deciding, not just browsing. Every guide follows the same structure: what makes a good product, top recommendations, a comparison table with price bands and pros/cons, individual reviews, who each pick is best for, a final recommendation, and clearly labeled Amazon link slots. No rewritten Amazon descriptions — original comparison and advice. The first five are the launch priority.
Each product above has a numbered link slot (in plan order). Paste your Amazon Associates link for a product below and every button for that product — on its card and in the guides — turns into a live “Check price on Amazon” button. Use the copy button to save the full list and hand it back to Muse to make the links permanent.
Paste the full link Amazon gives you (including your Associates tag). Links you paste here work for this visit; the copy button below exports them as a tidy list. The Short List is a product-review and buying-guide blog focused on household problem-solving products — the everyday items people search for when something at home isn’t working.
The core of the site is the home: kitchen storage and appliances, cleaning, drawer and pantry organization, air, and simple smart-home fixes. That primary category makes up most of our guides. A smaller category sits alongside it — travel & everyday essentials (packing cubes and outdoor lights) — because it serves the same households, just away from home.
We deliberately start with affordable, low-friction products that are easy to explain and easy to compare, rather than expensive electronics, fashion, or gear that needs a lot of technical expertise.
Every guide starts with a purchase-intent question — the kind of search someone types when they are already deciding, like “best food storage containers” or “best air fryers under $150,” rather than a general explainer. From there, each pick is chosen the same way:
Prices move on Amazon, so guides use exact prices only for verified picks and planning bands elsewhere. Before relying on any price, rating, or availability shown here, check the current Amazon listing — the price on Amazon at checkout is the one that counts.
Some links on this site are Amazon affiliate links. When you buy through one of those links, the site may earn a commission from Amazon at no extra cost to you. That commission helps support the site, and it doesn’t change which product is recommended for a job — each guide still has to name its trade-offs and its best-for fit.

Questions about a pick, a correction to a guide, or a product you think belongs on the list — that’s what this page is for.
Email The Short List at the address above for all of the topics below — corrections, product suggestions, and questions.
Spotted a wrong price, model, variant, rating, or claim? Tell us the product or guide, what looks wrong, and — if you have it — where you saw the correct information, so it can be checked and fixed.
Know a household problem-solver we’ve missed? Send the product name and the problem it solves. Suggestions that fit the site’s approach — clear problem, easy to compare, honest trade-offs — are the most useful.
Not sure which pick fits your home, drawer size, or trip? Ask with the detail that decides it — household size, space, budget, or who it’s for — and we can point you to the relevant guide.
In plain language: this is a simple buying-guide site. It doesn’t run accounts, take orders, or ask you to hand over personal information to read it.
It does not collect personal information directly. There are no accounts to create, no comments, no checkout, and no contact form on this page. Reading the guides and clicking through to Amazon does not require you to give this site your name, email address, or payment details.
The “Add your links” panel on the home page is a tool for the site owner: links pasted there work in that browser for that visit so the buttons can be previewed, and the copy button copies them to the clipboard. They are not sent to or stored by this site.
If you email the site at contact@theshortlistpicks.com (also listed on the Contact page), the site will receive the email address and contents you send — that’s inherent to email — and will use them to reply to your correction, suggestion, or question.
This page, as published, does not set its own cookies and does not run its own analytics or advertising trackers. It is a static page with no sign-in and no embedded comment or social widgets.
That doesn’t mean no cookies are involved in your visit at all: when you follow a link out to Amazon, Amazon’s own cookies and tracking apply (see the next section). Your browser also controls cookies generally — you can block or clear them in your browser settings, though doing so may affect how Amazon attribution works.
If analytics or other tools that use cookies are added to this site in the future, this page should be updated to name them before or when they are introduced.
Some links on this site are Amazon affiliate links. When you click one, you leave this site and go to Amazon. Amazon may use cookies or similar tracking to record that you arrived via this site, so that a qualifying purchase can be attributed to it. Under Amazon’s standard rules, a click generally starts a shopping session (commonly 24 hours, subject to Amazon’s current terms and exclusions) during which qualifying purchases may earn this site a commission.
Once you are on Amazon, your activity, any purchase you make, and any information you provide there are governed by Amazon’s own privacy policy and terms — not by this page. This site does not receive your Amazon payment details or your full order history.

If you have a question about anything on this page, email contact@theshortlistpicks.com or use the contact route on the Contact page. That is the address to use for privacy questions as well.
If what this site collects, or the tools it uses, changes, this page will be updated and the “last updated” date above will change with it.
